JeremyFr79 228 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Ok, so I was using Emby tonight to stream music for a little BBQ get together we had. Was using android client on my phone playing to BT speakers in the yard. At any rate, every song that played showed "rtists" as the artist, never seen that before. When looking in the web client, all the Artist info is displayed properly, only seems to be the android client doing this. Anyone else seen this?
ginjaninja 605 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 now playing on 2.2.38..shows proper artist name for me....samsung gal s4. its great that it shows the artist of each track , not all the emby clients are so useful when it comes to various artist (album artist) compilations...
Vicpa 611 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Hi, Check your tags. The time I saw "rtists" was when my tags were corrupted. There are a couple of documented culprits. WMP and WMC prime suspects. Hope it is something else for your problem. It was a pain to go through and re-tag. Hope I am wrong and someone else has a better thought. -Vicpa

JeremyFr79 228 Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 (edited) I stand corrected, looks like corrupt data, about 4000 songs or so, what a PITA! Edited May 10, 2015 by JeremyFr79
pir8radio 1312 Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 I stand corrected, looks like corrupt data, about 4000 songs or so, what a PITA! what software did you use to find these corrupt songs? Just curious.
JeremyFr79 228 Posted May 10, 2015 Author Posted May 10, 2015 what software did you use to find these corrupt songs? Just curious. Just went into Emby, looked at Artist's View, and it showed about 4000 songs under the artist "rtists", so now loading the library into Picard so I can fix them.
ginjaninja 605 Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 i use wmp and wmc extensively and have never experienced this corruption....that said i do go to alot of trouble to turn off all clever internet fetching functionality for all users for wmp...could internet fetching be a source of the corruption?
