EDIT: Ignore the title. This applies to any item from any view!

I think this started with 0.1.3, but it's also broken in 1.4. Nothing happens when clicking play on any item. I'm using the latest beta of Titan. I suppose this could be a skin issue, but I figured I'd start here. Here's the log entries that appear when attempting to play an item:

I will look into it right away. Are you using SMB access or streaming ?

In the addon settings set the play action to play instead of info...

The info screen is still a bit buggy

Thanks! I'm using SMB.

FYI, I posted another issue that may be related on the Titan thread...

Can you do a clean of your database, things were changed between versions 0.13 and 0.14 which needs a fresh install.

0.1.5 has been pushed and should show up shortly to resolve this.

I did a reset through the addon and that didn't seem to help much. Is that the same as manually deleting the db files?

It is not the same, usually the reset local db will do the trick. But if it doesn't then you actually need to delete the db files for a clean slate.

Are you still having trouble with playback with the latest version 0.1.81? Let us know

It does seem to work now, but I still intermittently get a long "Loading stream..." dialog (10-20 sec or so). Not really a big problem, though...

That probably means that it is transcoding and not direct playing the content... Playback should start right away with no delay at all

Hmm, that may be a problem then. It will do this intermittently for the same file. There's no reason any of my files should be transcoded, either.

Make sure you select a proper video quality bitrate. either leave by default or select something high enough that will allow for direct streaming. If you want to direct play, make sure you don't have play from http enabled.

Right, I've got all that set. I'm using SMB and the bitrate is at the highest value (my server, Kodi, and media files are on the same machine). Last time it happened, I cancelled the "loading..." message and immediately selected the item again and it played right away.

Ok well if you are able to reproduce this behavior and capture in a log, i'll look into it. Thanks @@jluce50
