marcelveldt 736 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 @@mprassel It should be fixed now. Do you mind testing it with the Git version ? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.Kodi/archive/fdff2cefb7a39679e6cbb33149fb8e8a2c2974e9.zip Just download and install addon from zip in Kodi, then restart Kodi
mprassel 19 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Just installed the git version and same problem. Log attached. kodi.log
marcelveldt 736 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 Just installed the git version and same problem. Log attached. Hmmm, I think something went wrong with installing the zip because your log-error is still from the "normal version". Can you check in your kodi folder --> addons of there is only one folder for plugin.video.emby ? Remove any redundant ones and maybe copy over the contents from the zip in the normal one. @@Angelblue05 is installing from the github zip supposed to be working ?
Angelblue05 4132 Posted May 8, 2015 Posted May 8, 2015 (edited) There's two solutions: If you can access the Kodi folder quite easily, I suggest for you to just copy the content from the github zip and overwrite what's inside plugin.video.emby OR You need to uninstall the original version (the one from our repo) and then install from zip. No need to start from scratch, you just restart Kodi between installations. Edited May 8, 2015 by Angelblue05
mprassel 19 Posted May 8, 2015 Author Posted May 8, 2015 Alright, it's successfully updated to the Git version and doing a sync. Will update when done. On a side note, it seems like the update is no longer a background process and I can't use Kodi while the sync is taking place. Is an option to turn off now?

It used to be blocking and now it's a background process...

mprassel 19 Posted May 9, 2015 Author Posted May 9, 2015 This is working for me now. Had to redo everything from scratch.
marcelveldt 736 Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 This is working for me now. Had to redo everything from scratch. I was just going to type you a message that the log you posted was referring to a line in the code that wasn't even there.Glad to hear it's resolved. In the meanwhile I added a few extra safety checks. As it turns out you can have multiple albums or artists with the same musicbrainzID while in Kodi that isn't allowed. Fixed that just in case.
