Server Adding to much data to TV shows

OK this issues just started for me. In my media browser I now see TV show seasons and episodes I dont have with a missing banner on them. I do not like this, is there a way to turn off this feature of media browser. Its really bugging my kids because they think their tv shows now have new episodes, but they really dont... Any help is great thanks.
