when playing a video through the web client on the same machine the EMBY server is installed, I do not have the apotion to select Direct steam from the dropdown gear menu.

 

it used to show up, now when I play any video the server shows that it is  transcoding instead of direct.

 

can anyone help with this?

 

I have the server set to Auto on transcoding settings.

Same here, been unable to select direct for a fortnight or so now.

well after the latest server update the direct streaming option is back.  awesome!!!
