Web client not working

My server is linked to Emby Connect but when I try to access via web client and log in it comes up with select server. So I click on MATT-PC

 

But it pops up with Connection Failure: Were unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.

 

On my router I have the correct ports forwarded as I used to access the server by entering in my public Ip address:8096/mediabrowser/web/dashboard.html

 

But it seems over last few days my ISP has changed my public ip address twice so thought I would try web client.

 

I also have a vpn setup but can still access web server using my public ip address

I am having the same issue at app.emby.media - log in ok, internal network on web app works but connecting on a machine external to the network results in the same above error when clicking my server name once logged in.

This isn't a case of the web client not working, it's a case of not being able to get through to  your server. So you may want to look at your router and port forwarding.

Hello Admin,

 

I have received invitation from one of my friends to connect to his MB server, however when I click on that server it's giving me error message " We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again"

 

Kindly suggest what I am doing wrong.

You probably aren't doing anything wrong.  His server may not be up or it may not be configured for outside access properly.
