I've had the same issue. Files that usually direct-stream seem to have to transcode with subsequent Emby releases. Very frustrating. I have some files that direct stream perfectly and some that used to stream fine but now have to transcode after updating Emby. I'm in the process of re-encoding a few to see if it helps but the only difference I can see is that the non-anamorphic ones seem to direct stream fine, and the anamorphic ones don't anymore (they used to until the most recent Emby release). I changed my MCEBuddy settings to encode with the highest resolution, hopefully it works. I'll post back this weekend with an update after re-encoding.
