David 1 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) Would it be possible to add an option that limits access to the configuration side of MB3 to just local connections. This would help me feel more comfortable about making my MB3 installation externally accessible. Another possibility is if we could have the configuration side on a different port than the standard web-interface then we could just choose what ports to map through our routers. Thank you, David Edited November 16, 2013 by David
johnchimpo 7 Posted November 19, 2013 Posted November 19, 2013 See http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/919-detect-external-ip-and-require-password/ and http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/909-public-open-port-mb3-server-access/ Wish I had better news for you but I don't think this is very high on the devs' list.
David 1 Posted November 19, 2013 Author Posted November 19, 2013 I understand that this would be a low priority item but if it is not asked for then it will for sure never make it into the program. MB3 is amazing.

MB3 is amazing. Its definitely something I want to see, but none of the mentions I've seen have gotten the demand the devs want in order to focus on something.
