mdegenaa 0 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I have been using the server successfully for many years. I tried setting up live tv to use my hdhomerun tuners. It didn't work and now the server won't load to even allow me change or delete the live tv option. It fails loading with an Unhandled exception: Failed to locate the tuner host. Is there a way past this. I would hate to lose all my server setting with a fresh install.
mdegenaa 0 Posted April 20, 2015 Author Posted April 20, 2015 I figured it out. If your network tuners have a static ip address and it changes from the initial setup in embytv, it will crash the server at loading. I suggest making sure you assign a permanent ip to network tuners.
ebr 16185 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 That sounds like an error in the particular Live TV plug-in you were using. We are looking at ways to keep plug-ins from bringing down the server like that but, in the meantime, if you have a similar situation, you can just delete the dll from the plug-ins folder and re-start the server.
