kamakamadaun 6 Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) Hi. I am having some trouble with the podcast plugin. What format of podcasts is the plugin supposed to support? I tried all the following: http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/Computerphile/uploads http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/base/users/Computerphile/uploads http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/mobile/users/Computerphile/uploads http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?EnterVideoFIlter=&YouTubeUsername=Computerphile&_id=fa7cd649be5345f886b49e52ec9c51b8&_render=rss&itemLimit=20 All seem to produce valid rss that work in other readers. For the first 3 no videos are added. For the last the videos are added but I get errors like: 2015-04-20 23:22:37.0931 Debug - NotificationManager: Sending notification via Dashboard Notifications to user jan 2015-04-20 23:22:37.0931 Info - ServerManager: Sending web socket message NotificationAdded 2015-04-20 23:22:37.0931 Error - Podcasts: Error refreshing podcast item *** Error Report *** Version: 3.0.5588.0 Command line: C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Processor count: 8 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: False Program data path: C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server Application Path: C:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Roaming\MediaBrowser-Server\system\MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe Object reference not set to an instance of an object. System.NullReferenceException at PodCasts.Entities.RssFeed.<GetChildren>d__18.MoveNext() And the videos cannot be played. A feed like http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast.php?id=510289 works though. I also tried to go through feedburner but I couldn't for the life of me find a set of settings that would make the plugin like it. EDIT: OK I found several feedburner examples that work: http://feeds.feedburner.com/WhatTheTechvideo and http://feeds.feedburner.com/TedtalksHD?format=xml. So I guess the question becomes: What is the right settings for getting the feed to work with feedburner? Edited April 20, 2015 by kamakamadaun
Luke 42077 Posted September 11, 2016 Posted September 11, 2016 The Podcasts plugin has been updated with a new configuration screen to match the look and feel of the rest of Emby Server. I think you'll find it much more enjoyable to use and configure now. Thanks.
