it sounds like you are confusing the rich presentation settings with metadata? because based on what you're asking for in this thread, you want to uncheck those boxes.

Yes sir i was getting it confused. Understand ot more now after looking at the effect.

 

Still unfortunately not what i was looking for

 

If you look at my inital screenshot posted you will see 'Section 1' (also highlighted) is empty

This used to say folders

In essence the library folder section was presented as a home page section.

 

I can make up a dodgy photoshop when i get home from work if i'm still not making sense

but they are the same because if you uncheck those boxes then you get folder-based navigation which it sounds like is what you want

So you want to have folder based views and enriched based views not one or the other.

I guess you cpuld see it that way. The options luke mentioned change the way the contents of those folders act. But i lile being able to navigate directly to the folder contents from the homescreen

This is the same issue that I queried here and no responce was forth coming. I've just gone with adding a folder option to my Media and when you follow that the view is the same. One extra click but not a major deal.
