Hi,

Does Emby support blu-ray iso playback in web client? I remember bluray worked in an earlier version before Emby, but I seem to have issue playing them in the latest stable build 3.0.5572. When I click Play it just show the black screen and the transcoder doesn't seem to kick in and does the job. In the log file I found the following lines which seem to indicate that the iso was mounted, but instead of the main ts file ffmpeg is asked to transcode the iso itself. Could that be the cause?

it's something we attempt to do but it is only considered experimental.

It's worked for me in the past, but honestly the best route for streaming will always be to convert the bluray's to mkv.

OK, it also worked for me in an older version (can't recall).

If it is implemented why remove the function? I understand it won't work for every BD, but at least it should try to play them.

No one has removed anything.  That format always has been hit or miss.  It simply isn't well supported by anything (and this probably won't be changing for the better as the world is moving away from disc-based formats).
