Deihmos 169 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Imo the moviedb and thetvdb are very poor sources for ratings. Sometimes they are just 1 or 2 ratings for an episode. Have you considered grabbing the ratings form IMDB? Kodi is able to use it and falls back to the movie or TVdb if no rating is available.
Luke 42079 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 we already do, if the open movie database is your first prioritized movie and tv provider, and if they have the rating for the content, which they usually do. 1
Deihmos 169 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 I don't understand. I don't think the server is grabbing the ratings from www.imdb.com.
FrostByte 5392 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 It doesn't directly. It gets it from the open movie database which gets it from imdb. Change the order of your metadata downloader for movies The number next to the yellow star should match what's in imdb. If they don't match then maybe a refresh of metadata is required
Deihmos 169 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 I am really just interested in it for episodes. How do you do that? No one rates episodes at the TVDB
ebr 16184 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 I don't think there is any public provider available other than tvdb and themoviedb for episode data. The short answer to your original question is no, not at this time but I'm in contact with them and they say maybe in the future. 1
