Dissonance 0 Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Hello! Every time I reboot, I have to reinstall the server. I am unable to find a shortcut in the start menu or an executable on my harddrive. How can I start the server without having to reinstall it? Thanks, D

Not sure if a newer installation would name the folder Emby or not. The application is located at %appdata%/MediaBrowser-Server/System/MediaBrowser.ServerApplication.exe under the user you installed it with. Once running, go to Configuration -> Advanced and check "Run Server at Startup". If you installed as a Service, you cannot run the Tray Application and you would control it via your Services Control Panel. Edited April 13, 2015 by Koleckai Silvestri
Dissonance 0 Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 I found the run server at startup setting. Thanks! There's no group in my start menu, but I found it under my admin user.
helena 0 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 (edited) Nevermind, figured it out... there was a seperate "Emby server" startup menu icon that was in the emby program folder. Couldnl't figure out how to delete my post though... ____________________________________________ Hi, I'm a new emby user. I installed the server application and it was working great. Later, I exited the server from the tray application, but now I can't figure out how to restart the emby server/tray application. When I click the "Emby" program in my startup menu, it opens browser page and shows the correct IP/URL but it says it cannot connect and does not re-open the tray application. I have to go to the windows services and start Emby server from there and then I can connect again, but the tray application still doesn't reappear. In summary: How do I re-start the Emby tray app? And will that re-start the server without having to go through windows services? Edited June 23, 2015 by helena
