Emby for Kodi - lists "jumping" back and forth

Hi there,

on one of my openelec boxes, i'm experiencing some strange behaviour when enabling the new emby addon.

Lists (not limited to Movie or TV-Show lists which are synced from emby, but also views like the "enabled" Addons list) are jumping back and forth, like if my remote had a slack joint.

The strange thing is that i'm not able to reproduce this on my second box, which runs the same addon version (same emby server & user) and same openelec config.

Did anyone else encounter this behaviour?

I don't see any errors in the log, but is it possible that the background updates of the emby addon cause some sort of list refresh?

Cheers

This happens when there are a ton of database updates occurring.  Some of the newer releases have added in/fix a lot of fields, and it is pretty slow to rebuild in the background.

I would delete the db and start over.  If you continue to see this issue, turn on logging level 1 and look to see what it is updating.

Same here on Openelec.

This almost sounds like its doing a full sync in the background. Please reset to do a full scan. If the problem persists please share log file for us to investigate

Hi Marcel what do mean "Please reset to do a full scan"? Would that mean 1 reset the addon and 2 power off and resart for the addon to restart Sync-Correct?

In the addon settings, last tab Reset local database, you do not have to delete your user settings. Then it will shut down Kodi, and when you restart it, it will start the full scan.

Edit: Hmm I hope it's part of the beta version and not just on Github. I will verify.

Great, thank you guys.

While I already resetted the db in an earlier build without any luck, I can confirm that after a addon reset on version 0.0.24 this issue is resolved on my box :)
