Can't resume Play To on Panasonic Viera AS630

So I tried adding srt and pgs, but no dice. What's interesting is that one movie that has ass (Advanced SubStation Alpha (ASS)) subtitles works fine and lists all the languages on the Viera. There is no subtitle setting for ass in the profile, however.

probably because it's direct streaming and the viera is seeing all the internal subs within the file
