IBN People pictures missing in NFO files

Hi,

I have some movies that have incomplete people data in the NFO file. Attached screenshot is an example.

For example: in the movie Godzilla, the NFO file is open on the left at the actor tags. Some Actors e.g. Bryan Cranston have a thumb tag pointing to my IBN folder and display OK.  Others like Elizabeth Olsen have no thumb tag and do not display. However, there is a entry for Elizabeth Olsen in my IBN. The screen shot on the right shows she exists in my IBN folder structure. There are a large number of such Actors where I have an IBN folder but they are not linked in the movie NFO files.

Is there away to get these all added automatically? A server scan of metadata and movies does not correct this.

if you've conifgured nfo settings to save image paths in files, then the next time a file is saved they will be added

Thanks Luke,

I have "Save image paths within nfo files" and "Enable path substitution" checked under Metadata. Couple of follow up questions please:

1) What is the preferred or recommended configuration method? I like the UNC pathname as this means I can move the folder to another larger disk and keep the same UNC pathname.

2) Can you expand on when next time a file is saved please? E.g. do I need to add a new art file to Gozilla to make it update the .nfo file? Looking at a very recent movie I added I have to two actcors with image path names and the rest without the image path, it appears that the first two with UNC pathnames where existing actors in the IBN folder and those without UNC pathname are new ones that MB server downloaded later at the next people scan.

Many thanks

there is no preferred method. it's whatever suits your needs based on what apps are consuming the nfo files.

Ok, understood. I forced an update to Godzilla folder by adding another background picture and the .nfo was indeed updated so all actors had UNC path names to the IBN folder. Is there a way to force the server to rebuild all .nfo files? I would like to do that before moving my movie folders around when I get a new set of disks to add to my PC.
