bob808 2 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 I am currently using chromebox or pi2 kodi clients and would be interested in moving from openelec to envy theatre if this was supported. Do you see this moving off windows in the future?
Luke 42077 Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 You can use our Kodi add-on with linux. And yes, we do hope to eventually have an app built from scratch. 1
bob808 2 Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 Cool. I am using the kodi addon today but a native app would be great
wolfbuddy 16 Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I asked this some months ago and was told by Aphid; Neither the UI framework nor Direct Show are available on Linux, so this is unfortunately extremely unlikely to happen. Has something changed, or is the rewrite of ET being done in a way that makes it easier to port it to Linux?
Luke 42077 Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Emby Theater for Linux and Raspberry Pi are currently in testing. You can learn more about them here: Linux: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/42868-emby-theater-for-linux/ Raspberry Pi: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/forum/169-raspberry-pi/ Enjoy.
