Kodi - Resume Movies Request

Gents,

So here is how my library is configured

My Movies <Everything Rated PG13+>

Kids Movies <Everything kids related>

TV-Shows

Kids TV

Using Arctic Zephyr I have it all grouped out how I want, displays perfectly.

Under My Movies, I created a sub menu for recently added movies.  It works great, but it will show movies for My Movies, and Kids Movies.  Can I issue a custom command to list just recent movies with tag "My Movies"?

Also I see no Resume Movies.  Is there a custom command for this as well?

Old or new addon?

I was able to do latest movies by doing a smart playlist, and listing anything new in the last 14 days.  Not totally what I want.  I'd rather just have it show the latest 10 movies, but it is doable.

For Resume, I used a smart playlist with tag, and then resume.

Yeah, the only way to do that is creating smart playlists.

Maybe share how you created them for others?

Btw: I'm pretty sure if you open up that smart playlist file (xsp) in a text editor you can add a limit tag.

I will later today. Is there a decent Android Text editor?

The Kodi native "recents" handling is not good imo (it shows only the last added with no regard to watched/unwatched, so if you've watched all of them they will still show up and if you hide watched then it will just be empty)

I use a video playlist for this as well. If you navigate to videos and create a new smart playlist you can easily get whatever you are looking for

I use a simple one that I call recents. You can add a rule for tags as well, I just don't sort my library that way personally

The rule would be "Playcount" is "0" -- under sorting I choose 100 items and ask it to sort by "Date added" and "descending"
