MB very slow and not updating library

Hi All,

 

I recently updated to Mediabrowser 3.0.5518.7. This is the latest version available in the ports/pkg repository. (ports/pkgs up to date but no emby port/package is known)

 

Since the upgrade, MB has become very slow in browsing. Loading pages takes 5 to 10 seconds each. Images take a long time to retrieve.

Also updating the libary only works when MB is started. Manual/automatic refresh no longer works. It stays on 0%.

the emby-server port/package should be available soon. what version of mono are you on? I think it doesn't work well on 3.12+

Yeah don't use anything other than mono 3.10.  I had big problems with 3.12 on my system.  It took me a while to figure out how to downgrade to a specific version of a port.  If you need a package for the last mono 3.10 I can upload it some where.

I am running mono-3.12.1_1 now so that might explain things.

Even with a clean database, mediabrowser is very sluggish and scanning takes hours.

Delete your current mono with 'pkg delete -f mono'

Install package with 'pkg add mono-3.10.0_2.txz'

Then do a 'pkg lock mono' to prevent mono from being updated

I reinstalled Mediabrowser with a clean library and re-imported my library and weird enough it is running alot better now. Running Mono 3.12.

 

If i still encounter issues i will let you know and then i will also try your Mono 3.10 package.
