retronaz 0 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Hi all, I currently have Emby metadata saving a poster.jpg file (as expected). However, when viewing the associated Movie or TV folder within Windows Explorer, it cannot display the folder image correctly since it doesn't know what to do with a poster.jpg file. If I rename the poster.jpg file to folder.jpg, Windows Explorer successfully displays the image within the folder to make things look nice and clean (when viewed as extra large icons). This is particularly handy for my son who is normally used to navigating this way - but does so based on the pictures rather than the text. The Emby app is a bit of a learning curve for him at the moment, so I'd prefer not to change right now if possible. My question is - can Emby be configured to download folder.jpg images for each TV and Movie file please? If so, how can I configure this?
Luke 42080 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 there is currently no configuration for this but it's something we'd like to do in the future
Solution Happy2Play 9782 Posted April 7, 2015 Solution Posted April 7, 2015 Actually if you change in you change <ImageSavingConvention> to "Legacy" instead of "Compatible" in system.xml, you will get the effect you want.
