There was an error processing the request

Hi there

I am running the following iterations of Ebmy:

  • Emby Server 3.0.5572.0
  • Emby Theatre 3.0.5571.41151

I have a music library consisting of 968 albums and when I am Emby Theatre, if I attempt to browse to Music->Artists the screen is blank (with the standard) for 30 seconds and then I get:

Error
There was an error processing the request

Theatre does not crash and I can click back and continue to use the application without issue.  Music->Album Artists (435 of them) works as expected and if I use the Web Interface, I can see the Artists (all 3987 of them)

The issue does not happen if I browse Artists in the Emby Web Client and I can browse Artist without a problem.

I am wondering if the sheer amount of Artists I have is the cause of the issue and something is timing out while enumerating them.  That said, why would it be OK in the Web Client?

I have restarted the Emby Server service, Emby Theatre, renamed the log files and replicated the issue... Logs attached.theater-63564001347.txtserver-63564001280.txt

Any help greatly received :)

Hi there

I have exactly the same issues as you are suffering, been going on really ever since MBT / emby theatre has been available i have over 3000 albums (all correctly tagged), Music has never worked in MBT. I now use the windows 8.1 client for music, still a few issues but it works.

An update to emby theatre has been promised for a while now but nothing seems to be forthcoming, there was an update last week i think that added cloud sync, not really interested in that.

At one point i was starting to think that emby theatre had been abandoned but apparently not so.

Think your going to have to accept that music doesn't work in emby theatre, will have to wait and see if works in the update when ever that is.

Regards
