mriksman 2 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Hi, I believe Kodi can be installed on a Fire TV, and then Emby installed. Can this play Live TV? How about Roku or the upcoming Android TV? Thanks.
mriksman 2 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 In your personal opinion, what is the best client/extender to provide a 10' user interface to Emby?

mriksman 2 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Right. Well I can't buy all of them to try them out! My understanding is; * MBT is about to get an overhaul, so that couple with a NUC would be a slightly pricey way to get MBT on a TV. But - it wouldn't really be optimised for a remote would it? * Roku - cheap, but from the screenshots, it looks bland when comparing to what the web client offers. * Kodi + Emby + Amazon TV - looks like a cheap alternative with good UI. Does Live TV run within Emby? Can you just have Emby load straight up and kind of 'hide' the fact you have Kodi on there? * Google TV - looks good from the screenshots I've seen. Really, the web client UI on a TV with remote control support is what I would like
