Lee 212 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Updated today as I was having some crashing issues, for reasons unknown. anyhow I decided to try the "views" as on the web server, frankly - don't like it one bit. in fact it made a lot of my media harder to find... Couldn't even find a way to get the music videos unless I browsed into the "folders" section! Also noticed some of the "views" I have which are checked in MBC settings don't show (documentaries for one) < these all show up in movies, I don't want them there and can see no way to get them out? they DON'T show there in the web server so it's NOT consistent?!? I use the windows phone app a lot and even find myself going to folder views in there. I think it's just EASIER. sometimes simple is best. please keep it as an option. ta very muchly
Logos302 86 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Logon to the server and configure your views how you like them. And MBC will show them that way. It's all in one place now. You can even choose to not auto group tv and movies and so on. I'm hoping that at some point MBC will allow you to configure it from inside MBC.
Luke 42077 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 we are. the option is still there. no plans to remove it. 1

I don't care much for the changes either and need legacy view for my TV. ps. I clicked the Edit button next to the views but I couldn't see any legacy option setting for the view. Is it possible that the Legacy option is part of a beta server release? I have my updates set to Release. Edited March 16, 2015 by Z0r0b
AdrianW 1058 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Where exactly is this? I don't care much for the changes either and need legacy view for my TV. That option is on one of the tabs inside the MBC configuration menu.
Z0r0b 1 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 That option is on one of the tabs inside the MBC configuration menu. So I found the "Legacy Browsing" tab inside the config menu inside MBC. I was looking everywhere else but there. Thanks for your help.

I have set up views but encountered issues like I said with music videos and documentaries. Where is the do not group option? I could give that a try...
CashMoney 94 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 (edited) Web Client - My Preferences - Display - First option is a list of check boxes. Uncheck them to stop MBServer grouping media by type (so movies and documentaries having the same media type "movie" ). MBClassic and other clients should follow suit.
