Some Movies Won't Play on Second Computer

Using MBC Version 3.0.255.0 Beta.  All my movies are in MP4 format for increased usability around MB.  The problem is on my client computer.  Some movies consistently won't play.  They are selectable but when you press play it appears to start but kicks immediately back to the movie detail screen.  Others play just fine and I generally use the same settings for all my movies encoded in handbrake.  I just upgraded so this was on the previous version as well.  On my host computer they play fine in MBC.

Does the second computer have the proper codecs (LAV, etc...) to play these files.  Remember, MBC passes off the playing to Windows Media Center.

Yes LAV setup at same time as setup on Server ...same way using team viewer.

Did you define path substitution rules or define your library directly with UNC paths so that machine can actually access those files?

Yes, it's setup as \\MAIN\Movie Theater in MB Server and works on all other clients.  Some movies work fine as well.  It also then marks them watched if that matters.

Okay, does sound like a codec issue then but please recreate the problem and then post just one single log from that session and tell me what it is you tried to play that failed.

I have no idea what I'm looking for when there are five log files and I don't know what produced a problem.  Thanks.

The movie I tried was called Aluna.  I deleted the other log files I had included as reference (after I deleted all the log files this morning the others were generated).  This appears to be where it's generating but I cannot tell the problem:

Yeah, then it is a codec or content problem.  Media Center simply isn't able to play the item.  It reports that it stops right after it starts.

There was a better one but I can't find it anymore.  I literally did both computers at the same time.  I will uninstall and start over I guess.

 

Uninstall and reinstall of LAV Filters fixed the problem.  The link in the guide (which I also had found here) goes to a directory of older versions.  I googled and found newer versions of LAV filters, not sure if that's what made the difference but it's all fixed up apparently.
