crashinc25 1 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Ok, so I'm frustrated out of my mind. I can access all movies via the client in any of the 4 computers in my bedrooms. I can play any movie, (i.e. MKV), BUT the movie/video stops at some random point from 15 - 30 minutes into the movie/video. It follows no pattern. It makes no sense. The movie/video stops, and I am returned to the play/resume/cast/background screen where I can then play the movie/video again to the same random point. The stop point changes with each video/movie. The stop point is different on each PC. I have prob a database of 420 1080p movies. I've moved to a server/client configuation. Server comp stores all files in a simple folder structure. File are accesible across the network and will play with no issues within Window Media Player. I don't even know where to start as it's not a playing issue. It's not a PC sleep issue. It's nothing I can think of. Any help would be awesome.
ebr 16176 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Does the computer that houses the media go to sleep maybe?
crashinc25 1 Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 No. It is on permanent awake purposely. Also, I can watch anything via WMP with no issues off the server PC.
ebr 16176 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Well we'd need to see a log of it happening to start trying to figure it out. How to Report a Problem
