How to configure MB connect to use HTTPS?

Hi all,

I'd like to ask how to configure MB connect to only use HTTPS connection to my MB server at home.

I got normal HTTP connection work (except for safari on iPhone), and then I tried "https://app.mediabrowser.tv" and I'm able to login and choose a server to connect. However when I click on the MB server to connect, it says cannot connect to the server. My HTTPS port is configured to 8443 at server side, and I was able to connect to that port either via LAN or WAN.

Is there anything additional that I have to configure to make this work?

Thank you in advance!

My issue is similar to yours.  Except, I'm not able to get to the HTTPS version of apps.mediabrowser.tv, the site gives me a 500 error.  Does it exist?  I have no problem connecting to my server via direct IP address.  Both HTTPS and HTTP work as expect through and behind my firewall.  If I go to the HTTP version of the app.mediabrowser.tv I'm not able to log in my server.  But I would expect this because I didn't change the port on the site, nor did I go to a secure site.

Long Long story short, I'm not sure how to connect to a "secure server" via the app.mediabrowser.tv site.

PS - I posted something similar under iOS, but no responses.  Hopefully someone will take look and confirm.  Not sure if I should report as a possible bug?

For the hosted web client you need to enable the option to report ssl as your public url. But if you do that, then that's going to break other apps that we haven't added ssl support to yet. So for now it's best reserved for direct access to your web client. As we add the feature to the other apps, you'll eventually be able to toggle that setting.

I would like this future very much, any updates? (I just tried is out and no joy)
