Bug? Playlist doesn't output to connected device

I'm using 2.1.38 on a Samsung Galaxy S2. 

 

When I connect to a DLNA device, such as my TV or Popcorn Hour mediaplayer, and start a specific video it all works fine. The connected device starts streaming the video from the server.

 

But if I go for example to my music videos section, to a list of videos, and click either the play icon or the shuffle icon, the video starts playing on the mobile phone.

 

This leads me to guess that playing a playlist disregards selected output device.

 

Can anyone reproduce this?
