eallen 0 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 I've had this issue for over a year now. It doesn't matter which theme that I use. Whenever I switch to MBC I have a black screen I have to Ctrl+ALT-DEL and WMC isn't responding. I have waited for 5 minutes and it never responds I have to kill the process and restart MBC. This is a dedicated machine that I'm running both the server and client on. Server: Version 3.0.5490.2 MBC Version: 3.0.243.0 I have tried MCE standby tool with no luck.
ebr 16183 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 What does "switch to MBC" mean? Sounds like a graphics driver problem though.
eallen 0 Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Switch from tv to pc. I watch via HDMI. It would be switching inputs. If I switch without media center running I never have a problem with a black screen.

ebr 16183 Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Yeah, that's an HDMI handshake/video resolution switching problem between the hardware components. Definitely try what Cheese pointed to.
