since everything got removed on how my stuff looks. I can not use legacy view, when I do mbc crashes.

1. where do backdrops go now (sever no longer using IBN folder was removed with fresh install.)

2. would like to use my own icons as well.(do not like the look of windows 8)

in the second picture the images look squashed and look plain

also would like to add backdrops for each section.

I just don't understand when things are looking and working good, why do guys feel the need to screw with things

add features not take them away.

thanks...

most of the customization that you used to do on the client  has been moved to the server now (where it belongs in my opinion).  This allows for a more seamless experience in all clients, change it once and all clients fallow suit.  I can understand how this could be annoying when you have it setup just right, but now in theory once you fix it on the server it will stay that way :).

The legacy option is there so you can use that if you prefer it.  If that is causing a crash, please provide details on that so we can fix it.  Thanks.

Ok, so to answer your 2 questions.  Everything is managed by the server, the Icons you are seeing are default ones provided by the server so in order to add/change backdrops, thumbs, posters, banners or any of the other images for your collections...

you need to go to the server and in the metadata manager select your collection folder name, then in the right hand pane, click on images and start adding what you want.
