San0j 0 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Hi everybody, I wanted to ask if there is any development going on for integration of LiveTV when using a linux server. There are plenty liveTV options available for linux (e.g. mythTV, VDR). Can anybody estimate the amount of work to integrate these in mediabrowser? Is there currently any development in this area? Thanks!
Luke 42077 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Currently no but we are hoping a community member will step up and help build a plugin for one.
Guest Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) You just mentioned the "free" Live-TV Servers available for Linux. But DVBLink is also Linux compatible. Thus, there is already a live TV solution for MediaBrowser and Linux available But anyway, I also hope that someone step up and can make a live TV solution for TV-Headend or VDR Edited February 16, 2015 by CM000n

Unfortunatly DVBLink did not support any of my tuners on linux. tvheadend has been good to me, but unfortunatly no emby plugin, and now for some reason emby will not read the tvheadend streams anymore (Video bookmarks/.strm files)
Tolotos 61 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 (edited) Hi, I'm currently working on a tvheadend plugin for emby. Working: - Channel List - EPG - Timers Not Working: - Watching Live-TV or Recorded stuff - Series Timers (My old tvheadend server doesn't support this) I'll implement how it should work - but can't test :-( I'll post a beta as soon as watching is possible.
