Lighthammer 91 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 This has been bugging me for quite some time.All my videos are transcoded in 16x9, but sometimes the image extraction shows previews of the images in 4x3. I've been scratching my head why this happens. MB3 will even do this within the same season of the same series.The only thing I can remotely consider is some of the series were originally in 4x3, but they never sat on the MB3 server in that format. Any thoughts on this?
swhitmore 781 Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 (edited) Preview images are pulled from The TVDB which is a community driven website. Sometimes 4x3 images are uploaded by users. There are normally replaced by better ones, but can occasionally take time. Image extraction will only occur when no image is available on The TVDB. Edited February 16, 2015 by swhitmore 1
