Livestreamer front end

I have been looking at MediaBrowser on and off for some weeks now, with a view to using it to serve content to various devices.

One of the areas I have looked at is the ability to handle Streaming video and had a quick play with the Video Bookmarks addon with little success.

 

I was wondering if anyone in the team had considered the possibility of using Livestreamer (http://docs.livestreamer.io/) to enable the streaming of some web based content?

I believe you can already do this in MB3 using strm files.

But I believe Kodi is the only player that supports playing those.

every client can use the strm files if they're just plain url, rtp or rtsp address.

 

some of the more complicated features of them will only be supported by kodi.
