CBers 7450 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Is your TV listening to you? Samsung admits its Smart TVs record and share audio in the home. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-31296188 1
cragjagged 44 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Oddly I was chatting with a friend a couple of days ago saying that it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if this was happening! Maybe the TV overheard me?! 2
AdrianW 1058 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 That was one of the first features I disabled on my Samsung TV. It didn't work very well anyway - it would occasionally hear voices on the TV and then prompt for an action.
chessdragon136 677 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 ITs a common practice and Samsungs guidance on this has actually been quite clear, just people don't seem to read anything nowadays. Siri, Cortana, all voice systems behave like this. If in doubt, turn it off - best computing advice in years (unless its a firewall )
