adccon 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 I am sure this has been asked and answered but I was not able to discern the specific questions / answers I have. Is it possible to use both local metadata and the newer GUI metadata. I guess this question applies generically, but mostly my problems are with adult movies / videos. I have a lot of xml and nfo files in the local folders which define the metadata (studios, plot, actors, etc), but MB3 seems to prefer the GUI / web interface data. Is there a way to allow the program to fetch internet meta data but use that in addition to local meta data. i.e. i guess use xml or nfo as primary and then only the GUI info as secondary? As an example I have backdrop images in local folders and in some cases backdrops in the GUI / web interface, but MB3 seems to only show / cycle through the GUI ones? Am I completely off base here or can anyone help straighten me out? Thanks.
adccon 0 Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 hmmm So if say 4 actors are located in an xml / nfo file and 2 different actors are in the GUI how many or which ones should i see in say MBC? Thanks.
Luke 42080 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 it depends on how they're saved within the xml file and if it's following a supported convention. also depends on the naming of the file. Please see http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/topic/790-how-to-report-a-problem/
