Strm files on internet

I have a couple of strm files that point to mp4 on the internet. When i play this strm files the will not play direct but transcoded. Is there a solution to direct play this files?

I can play the mp4 files direct in webbrowser without media-server.

 

When i play the files by XBMB3C in kodi i don't see ffmpeg running. And when i play it in webbrowser or mediabrowser home theater it start ffmpeg and its useing cpu.

in the web browser, once you start playing the movie, click the gear in the upper right corner and change the bitrate to direct.

 

you can only see option once you have clicked play.
