Will the paid WP8 app carry over to Windows 8.1 account, or have to purchase twice?

Hello,

 

If I purchase the media browser app on my windows phone, will I also get the windows 8.1 version to install for free? Or do I have to purchase two separate versions for my two devices?

 

I know that if you buy the Plex app on the phone, you get the Windows 8.1 version of the app for free.

Currently they are two separate apps written by separate developers.

 

So you would need to purchase both separately.
