Error could not connect to media browser 3 server.

I'm a long time user (and supporter) of MB.  I've just installed MBC on a new build running Win 7 Home 32bit and am getting an error: "Could not connect to Media Browser 3 Server. Please be sure it is running on the local network."

 

I downloaded a new copy of 3.0.243 and reinstalled but no different outcome.

 

Any thoughts?

A couple thoughts.

 

Make sure your server is up to date and running.

 

Make sure it is available by connecting to it via a browser on the same machine you are trying to run MBC on (\\servername:8096/mediabrowser).

 

Post an MBC log.
