Spaceboy 2573 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 No, if Clarkson is out for good (which I seriously doubt), they'd more likely replace him or continue on without him. The show would not be the same without him, though, and they have to be well aware of that. Not true so much anymore, last year we had the news of top gear China being launched. Do you think they want clarkson to present that?
ginjaninja 605 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 http://thetvdb.com/index.php?tab=series&id=274644 Hostages Israeli Version...bit slow...storys started and not concluded ..wouldnt bother..amyone seen the american version?
ebr 16169 Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 American version was cancelled after one season. I watched the first episode and didn't really get into it.
dark_slayer 103 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 I used to like keeping track of what people were watching and when with Trakt As a new trakt user, I haven't added the widget to any forums yet because it doesn't look like it's working yet for anyone. They've said they'll be back soon for a while now . . .

They've said they'll be back soon for a while now . . . I uninstalled the plugin because it took a huge step backwards in my opinion. Became too much of a chore to bother with... hit and miss if it even scrobbled stuff, site became so slow as to be unusable and as some one who actually took the time to write reviews and so forth on movies... gone... everything I took the time to write flushed..
CBers 7450 Posted March 17, 2015 Author Posted March 17, 2015 (edited) American version was cancelled after one season. I watched the first episode and didn't really get into it.I stuck it out. It was quite good, plus Rachel Taylor was in it . Glad it had a conclusion at the end of the season. There needs to be more one-season shows instead of dragging them out, like they did with LOST. . jhevener 26 Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Inside Amy Schumer (2013– ) My Rating: 8/10 IMDB Staff Rating 8.3/10 Rotten Tomatoes User Rating 4.4/5 This show is hilarious if you like to watch a slutty chick talk about all kinds of slutty, funny things. The show is a series of sketches, interviews and stand-up routines by Amy. The pacing is brisk and the comedy is brilliant and exceptionally well-written. Amy Schumer is one of my favorite comedians with her outrageous, irreverent, and hilarious routines. She's also co-starring in the upcoming Jud Apatow flick, Trainwreck with Bill Hader. If you like to laugh, this show is guaranteed to fit the bill unless you are a complete prude. If you don't like jokes about sex, then stay away. 1
DigiTM 60 Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 American version was cancelled after one season. I watched the first episode and didn't really get into it. Same thoughts. I am slowly going off any TV shows that are on CBS etc (too much of the same formula), starting to prefer Netflix, HBO shows for example. Better Call Saul is excellent viewing. So want a True Detective Season 2. 1

So want a True Detective Season 2. Couldn't agree more. CSI this and CSI that... think someone could come up with something original for a change at that network? I've been boycotting their shows for years. FX, AMC and even the History Channel all have more unique and engaging offerings: Sons of Anarchy Fargo American Horror Story Louie (Louis CK) Hell on Wheels Better Call Saul Walking Dead Mad Men Vikings Just on those three networks alone. 1

I guess the new normal is a lot more slutty than I am aware (but then again, I'm 58). The episode where she jokingly reveals a tale about trying out for a porn film and finding out that it's also got a scat scene and still considering it put her over the top for me. 1
z0mbi 76 Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) Anyone watched Powers yet? I've been trying. Watched the first two episodes so far. It's not very good, unfortunately. IMO, of course. I just finished watching the season 2 finale for 'Black Sails'. What a finale, holy cow. They really knocked it out of the park. I love this show. Reminds me of Deadwood, but with Pirates instead of Frontier/Homesteaders. Edited March 29, 2015 by z0mbi
xnappo 1611 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 I know this is old news - but if you didn't watch all of 'Halt and Catch Fire' - it is well worth sticking with. New season coming soon(ish). 1

xnappo 1611 Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Yeah, I watched three and stopped, then came back to it and was really glad I did. 1
shaefurr 1340 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Same here, first couple didn't really pull me in, watched it after the season ended and it gets really good. Can't wait for S2.
dark_slayer 103 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Halt and Catch Fire, never heard of it but will check it out Aside . . . my wife really enjoyed AHS: Coven. Does anyone have a follow on recommendation for that? How does Witches of East End compare?
jluce50 122 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 How awesome would it be to see Netflix buy the rights and take over? I think that's a pipe-dream, though. I just can't see the BBC giving up such a money maker. I think you're right about the BBC shooting themselves in the foot. They have to do something, but I think it will amount to making a statement so they don't look too foolish and then bringing him back. Whether that's after a short delay or next season, I don't know. I'd expect some sort of forced apology from Clarkson as well. Looks like I was wrong. Clarkson was indeed fired. This really is the end of an era for one of my all time favorite shows http://jalopnik.com/jeremy-clarkson-officially-fired-from-top-gear-1693551101
ebr 16169 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Now Netflix is talking to him about his own show.
jluce50 122 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 I've seen rumors to that effect, but nothing that can be substantiated. God, I do hope that is true though!

Macburp 112 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Now Netflix is talking to him about his own show. I'm sure Sky would pay an arm and a leg to get Clarkson.

jluce50 122 Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 He wasn't fired. His contract wasn't renewed. To-may-to, to-mah-to
CBers 7450 Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 To-may-to, to-mah-to No, totally different. To be fired you have your contract terminated. Clarkson saw his contract out, but it wasn't renewed. It expired today I believe.
