Odd Behavior of Content

Server: MB 3.0.5490.1

For some reason, all of a sudden, movies and documentaries that are split into multiple parts is showing up as new content and as television (season, episode).

I'm attaching two screenshots showing the directory content as well as what I'm seeing in MB Web Client.

Screenshot 1 - Showing An Evening With Kevin Smith as episode 8?

Screenshot 2 - Showing the directory of same

That directory (Stand-up and Concerts) is flagged as movies, not shows. And this has all of a sudden happened with all content that contains more than one movie file in the directory.

What am I doing wrong?

hmmm - you might want to double check that it's flagged as movies. if you're sure that it is, try removing that library and adding it back.

You're right. All of my media folders are now showing a content type of "Unset (mixed content)".

That's very odd as I am 100% sure that I have set them as the correct type in the past (to avoid similar issues).

Is there any action which can result in the folders being reclassified?

strangely i tested this exact set of file and folder names in a mixed library and they appeared like a movie as expected. it is probably the presence of something else i can't see in those screenshots.

anyway - no, there shouldn't be anything that causes your library content type to be reset. i will have to do a bit more testing on upgrading from older versions though.

have you used the backup plugin by any chance?

Very strange.

Thank you for investigating. I have recreated all media folders and will monitor to see if the behaviour re-emerges.

I have not used the Backup plugin, no.

Thanks again, Luke.
