Chromecast?

I've heard that MediaBrowser works with Chromecast, is this true? How do you get the Chromecast to see the server?

 

I have my server installed on a Windows 7 machine, added a couple movies to the library, but I don't see any way to connect to the Chromecast.

 

I also installed Media Browser Theater, but there's no option to cast that I can see.

 

Any assistance would be appreciated!

for casting you can do it either from the mediabrowser server page with chrome, or from the android app.

I just bought a Chromecast... it does not show up on the Web client via my android phone, however, it does show up and work for the android app (same phone).

 

Would rather use Web client because of the control functions.

 

Any thoughts?

@ - You could install the Media Browser for Android app from the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mb.android).

 

It has Chromecast support.

Chromecast is not supported on chrome mobile, just desktop.
