Orphan file clean-up

Is there any way to clean up 'orphan' files in metadata (xml and jpg) files, where the original media file has been replaced with one with a different name?

 

Metadata is being kept locally and I hadn't noticed these files were being kept, after deletion or replacement.

What type of example you want?

 

I initially have a file named for example

 

Boardwalk.Empire,s01e01.Boardwalk.Empire.5.1.Web-DL.KiNGS.mkv

 

The metadata folder will contain identically named files with extensions .xml and ,jpg

 

If I delete and replace this with other files

 

Boardwalk.Empire,s01e01.Boardwalk.Empire.Blu.Ray.DTS-HD.5.1.mkv

 

MB3 scrapes the new file, adds 2 files to the metadata folder with the new file name with .xml and jpg extensions, but leaves the Boardwalk.Empire,s01e01.Boardwalk.Empire.5.1.Web-DL.KiNGS.xml and .jpg files in place, despite there no longer being a file with that name.

 

This isn't peculiar to that particular file, but to all files where changes have been made to the media file name.

Right. We don't currently do any cleanup like that.
