pmichener1954 1 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I have several movies on media browser server that play dolby digital 5.1 correctly. Then I have several that are dolby digital 5.1, but only play as liner pcm 2.0. Anybody know what would cause this?

pmichener1954 1 Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 When I use mediainfo to compare the movies, the ones that work say "split across interleaves" in video alignment. Ones that don't say " aligned on interleaves". Only ones that seem to work are all avi format, mkv and mp4 do not pass thru ac3 at all.
blumamba 10 Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I agree with EBR. Its either your codecs improperly configured or, like I did, point the server to the folders i.e: \\e\movies instead of using the the "network". Using the "network" solved my sound issues. I use the shark007 codec pack and set it up manually and don't have any issues. I do not however mix file types, meaning I use 1 standard for all my stuff to keep issues from arising.
