GoodGuy98 0 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 When I go to the Download Media Browser web page: http://mediabrowser.tv/download/ and download the Media Browser Theater , it does not display the version number. The other downloads display version numbers for the stable and beta versions if any. Currently I download it and run a md5sum which is compared to my earlier download to see if a newer version exists. If this forum is the wrong place for this post, please move it and let me know. Thank you
MrWebsmith 598 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 (edited) internally in the settings is the current version/build number as well as control over updating MBT, have you checked out those settings yet? Edited January 9, 2015 by MrWebsmith
ebr 16178 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 You can update from right inside MBT so there is no need to go back to the web page and check.
GoodGuy98 0 Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Thank you for the replies. I was not aware I could update from inside MBT. This applies to downloading the Windows versions. The issue I was referring to is while attempting to download various MB software, most of the other programs such as MB Server and MB Classic display a dialog box with the stable and beta version numbers in a green button. When I downloaded MB Theater, the green button displayed "Download Now" without the version information like the other programs displayed. Edited January 10, 2015 by GoodGuy98
ebr 16178 Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 That is because MBT has not been officially released yet. There is nothing but an alpha version really.
