Michael_Schmitz 7 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hi, I am currently unhappy with the display of the channels in emby. I upgaded on DVB-Link 6 and using newest Plugin. still there is no transfer of channel numbers from DVB-LINk Server to emby via the live plugin. Apart from that it has problem with some cannel names. In DVB-LInk the channel numbers and the sorting are displayed correctly. Enclosed find a screenshot:
Spaceboy 2573 Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) hi @@Michael_Schmitz i don't see the same problem as you, in fact i have always had channel numbers properly transferred to emby. i just came here to request support for native tv logos in dvblink which has been added in 6.0 and is very easy to configure. is this possible @t.andre ? Spaceboy 2573 Posted June 26, 2016 Posted June 26, 2016 so i guess we're not getting any further development or fixing of bugs? well i've always wanted to learn to code!
t.andre 69 Posted June 26, 2016 Author Posted June 26, 2016 Hello, Sorry for the delay, but I had to be away for personal reasons and where I am I do not have much internet connection. I'll be back next week and would make the necessary corrections. And for DVBfLink v6 I will by to see the changes and update the plugin. Cheers. 2
Spaceboy 2573 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 hi t.andre, we thought you had gone, its mid march since we've heard from you! it'd be really appreciated if you could take a look at some of the basics of the plugin as well because we are still having enormous trouble getting streams to play nicely with the android tv app, its been suggested that the probing isn't working properly. in fact i have found that i get better results from turning all the dvblink plug in settings off and just asking it to provide a direct stream. the indirect stream with additional parameters is where things seem to be going wrong. cheers
t.andre 69 Posted July 12, 2016 Author Posted July 12, 2016 (edited) Hi, I have published version 1.2.0 beta. See the first page for info. Cheers. Edited July 12, 2016 by t.andre
Spaceboy 2573 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Hi, I have published version 1.2.0 beta. See the first page for info. Cheers. Hi t.andre, I notice you've removed the choice of direct or indirect streams, so which is used now? My goal is to have everything playing without transcoding on android tv, what settings would you recommend? Everything seems to play without transcoding in the dvblink theatre app. I'm not really clear on what the other options do? Does enabling timeshifting use dvblink functionality or Emby? What is the advantage of enabling probing and should this give a benefit of less transcoding at a cost of slower streams starting? I've enabled dvblink logos but I don't think any have come through yet, I'll refresh the guide a few more times. Thanks for the update

I've enabled dvblink logos but I don't think any have come through yet, I'll refresh the guide a few more times. Thanks for the update It's just a test, for now the plugin only use direct request. The plugin gets the stream directly from DVBLink server without any process or transconding (Raw transport stream via HTTP). It’s a ts container and the video codec depends on your channel provider. It can be mpg or h264 or other kinds of codecs. I can’t know what is used in each country. You can find below some explanation of the options for the plugin. · Enable Timeshift : The time-shift is managed by the server (I will remove it in the future, I think it’s not necessarily in emby) · Probe Live stream : With this option, audio stream and closed caption will be available on the client side like a browser for example, if not enabled the list of audio streams for live TV will not be listed · Probe Recording Stream : same functionalities as Probe live stream but for recordings · Enable DVBLink transcoder: The stream is transcoded by DVBLink before it sends it to the client server (I will remove it in the future, I think it’s not necessarily in emby) For the logos try to clean your browser’s cache. Cheers.
Spaceboy 2573 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Yes uk tv is h264 and ac3 for HD and mpeg2 and mp2 for sd with an mp2 audio described second track on most channels. Timeshift, are you saying this is managed by Emby or dvblink? Timeshift is a desirable feature and I don't know if there will be any Emby server support for external services. I believe Kodi uses some dvblink functionality for this. So having probe on seems like a good thing but it does delay channel start up, is there a way this can be improved? I'll test the other stuff and let you know how I get on Cheers
phoenixaus 3 Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Hi T.Andre, Hoping you could help me with something. I am using DVBLink Server Version 6.0.0 (Build 13107) with EPG Collector (Version 4.5) and Emby Version 3.1.83.0 I have been trying to get images sourced by EPG collector to show correctly in Emby. I have all the images and TV summaries showing correctly in DVBlink player, but if I try to look at the same show in Emby, I have a broken image link. The images are served by a small Web-server, which the log shows that the Emby access to the image is requesting an incorrect filename, whereas the DVBPlayer requests the correct one. I have raised this with Luke and he suggests that it is an issue with the plugin. I have a windows scheduled job to run EPG collector at 3am every morning, DVBLink server updates every hour, and Emby refreshes TV guide at 5am. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!!! I have attached some logs from Emby ig it helps. log 382016.zip
t.andre 69 Posted August 5, 2016 Author Posted August 5, 2016 Hi, i will check and see if I can implement it in the next version. Cheers
phoenixaus 3 Posted August 5, 2016 Posted August 5, 2016 Hi t.andre, if you need me to do any testing, let me know. I did find a semi fix today. As I mentioned dvblink is showing all the images correctly. The xml that it is picking up from epg collector is correct (showing correct file names). It is emby though that is referencing incorrect names. In the emby library.db I can see the incorrect entry data. When I delete any reference to my Webster very address and the reload, everything works well. But then emby looks like it is picking up stale images from somewhere. There is no update time in the last updated field for the link, which I thought was unusual. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Hi, is this completely not working for everyone? Or is it due to a dvblink upgrade?
t.andre 69 Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 Hi, I have published a new beta version. Can you please check if it's working with dvblink 6 ? Thanks
Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Hello. No change I'm afraid. No live or recorded tv and the live tv page doesn't load in the dashboard

Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) hello version 1.2.1.0 parameters / settings for the plug in are correct but exactly the same error message as before, can't retrieve dvblink server info the refresh guide task itself doesn't throw up any errors but i don't even think it really starts. just seems to go from sitting at 0% for 5 mins then complete. certainly nothing ever appears in the guide or recordings this is all on my synology install logs https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/39548367/emby.txt Edited August 24, 2016 by Spaceboy

I think that the new version of dvblink change the connection port. I have version 6 installed and it works fine. Can you check if the port of dvblink and the plugin it's the same? Thanks
Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 (edited) I stand corrected. Its working. The upgrade didn't reset the settings this time, but I have had a new router since this was last working and I forgot to switch a 1 for a 0. ApologiesNow we also have an android TV app that should be able to use external services I may be able to give this a proper go.Cheers Edited August 28, 2016 by Spaceboy
Spaceboy 2573 Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 hurrah i am watching dvblink through emby on android tv. i am using the archos video player as the external player as vlc and the internal player need some work. t.andre, i didn't really understand where we are with timeshifting. is it your expectation that this should work in emby and under what circumstances (options in emby dvblink settings)? i was also wondering whether you could see anyway that the dvblink send to functionality introduced in v6 could be incorporated? i.e. that i could tell dvblink from emby to send a recording to a particular folder where, for example, emby could auto organise the file from. this would be a great solution and give us equivalent functionality to the native emby tv where recordings can be made direct to the library structure. thanks
