The plugin is working like it should overhere. Very happy with it.

 

I still have a question. My TV provider has unencrypted channels and some encrypted. The encrypted channels (sports) work in my DVBLink configuration (Acamd with Smargo cardreader) like the other channels. But not with this TV plugin. They work on all DVBlink clients (PC and IOS) Is there anything I should do?

Yep this is working fine for me too. Emby knows nothing about acamd it just requests a stream and dvblink serves it up using acamd if necessary

Hello.

 

Im very new here, so if i ask a really stupid question, then i apologize beforehand.

 

Ive just installed emby and added the dvblink plugin, it says its connected but now channels it sghown either on the web or on my iPhone.

 

Im running Ubuntu 14.04.

 

Any suggestions is welcome

Not sure if I have seen anyone using it with Ubuntu yet, best is to provide a log

Try to go to the DVBLink plugin configuration in Emby server and put your DVBLink server address and port, save and retry.

Ok had time to play with this ....here are my findings:

 

EPG loads in Web GUI and Emby Theater which is great, however when I play a stream in Web GUI I can't change the audio track and the video is rather jittery even if I drop down the quality to 1MB 720P on the other hand when I use Emby Theater I get a black screen and audio only correct version of the audio track as well which is weird.

 

I can confirm the ACamd plugin is kicking in too as I have launched Acamd monitor whilst streaming

 

My CPU usage on the server is quiet high 80-90% so both are unwatchable still unfortunately. It's a shame really I was looking for something to replace my MCE setup.

Unfortunately since a few days I am not able to see channels or programs in the epg any more. When I look at the epg view of the dvblink server directly everything looks fine, but the data doesn't seem to be transfered to emby. Looking at the emby server logs when forcing a update of the epg data I can see the following exception:

The guide in the Emby web GUI is now saying undefined next to the channel logos for some reason.

This appears to be fixed now and the channel numbers are back in Emby Server Version 3.0.5930.0.

In live tv setup click on the tuner and disable it the built-in functions for it. Or, alternatively, you could test out removing the plugin and just using the built-in support that works all on it's own.

I have tried the above but it makes no difference, as good the built in support is I cannot use as it does not support XMLTV or IceTV for EPG. I am based in Australia.

I'm using emby since a while and I'm really happy about all the nice features. I'm using DVB-LInk as well. Both works excellent. Now I tried to connect both using this app and I failed again and again. I'm quite sure that I just miss a configuration parameter ... but maybe someone can give me an advice which on.

I'm using a Windows 8.1 machine with media center as base.

Emby Server version is meanwhile upgraded to 3.0.5933.0.

DVB_Link is version 5.5.0

DVB_Link Plugin Version 1.1.6.0

 

emby Server reports:

take out the port number from the end of the Dvblink server address

Wow, I removed the port number and now the web interface status reports OK.

Program informations are displayed.

I still couldn't see TV, it's just displaying the hourglass.

 

I will investigate further when I get access on TV - right now my family would not be happy ;-)))

I got access on my system back. After rebooting, streaming works as well. Problem fixed

credit where credit is due. i installed dvblink v6 today and so far i'm impressed. it was a simple upgrade and some good new functionality added. it was a paid upgrade with 50% off for early renewers (and this is second paid upgrade in 2-3 years) but my gripe has been lack of new functionality rather than cost. new additions include:

 

a free viewer client app, in windows its clearly a view of the web config and media pages but there are apps for android and ios, about to try android, ios still in dev.

logo support!!

the ability to format the name of recorded tv files, so gone is their ridiculously impenetrable format and Series - SXXEYY is possible so these can be detected by Emby

 

for me these are actually very helpful changes and well worth the money.

 

still having plenty of issues getting emby to play nice with dvblink though...
