Hi,

 

first of all, great job, ithe plugin works like a charm and now with Emby Theatre is the perfect duet.

 

I'd like to know if there's any possibility to enable the Parental Control from DVBLink in Emby and if this is a matter of the plugin or the Program.

 

I mean to unlock via the pin those channels marcked as locked in DVBLink.

hello, i have tried the latest update but its pretty much the same. i also tried with the new emby theatre and although i can finally see some live tv stuff in there it seems to display a different set of problems. so maybe lets try and diagnose why ffprobe is taking so long and use the webclient before we troubleshoot why other clients aren't working?

 

so attached are some logs from trying to play live and recorded hd and sd programs. in the chrome web client on the same pc as where emby server resides so no possible communication delays

 

you will see that the first two and final stream on bbc1 hd all close within a second of opening, i have had consistent trouble with this channel recently, it was ok before

in the middle i started one hd an one sd live and one hd and one live recorded item. live tv seems to take about 15-20s for ffprobe to run an the same for the stream to start, recorded tv seems to take 30s for ffprobe to run and the same for the stream to start.

Okay, first off thank you t.andre for getting dvblink to Emby!

I have done some testning to help out doing my part to make this even better  :)

 

 

Some back ground info.

 

Cpu E3-1260l http://ark.intel.com/products/52275/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E3-1260L-8M-Cache-2_40-GHz

 

I usage DVB-C and here is what my providers settop box support (so all my streams will not differ from this):

MPEG-2 (SD and HD): Transport stream - PAT, PMT, video and audio streams, constant and variable bit rate, 2-25 Mbps, up to MP@HL 1080i@60 fps

H.264 (SD and HD): PAT, PMT, video and audio streams, up to 20 Mbps, up to HP@L4.1 (1080i@60 fps) High Definition video: 1280x720@50 or 60 fps (progressive scan) 1920x1080@50 or 60 fps (interlaced scan)

Streaming Audio Audio Types: MPEG (Layer 1, 2, 3), PCM, AC3, AAC

I belive that all my streams is H.264, they stopped using MPEG-2 years ago.

 

(So .ts H.264 720p50 should be play able with just streamcopy (.ts container to .mp4).

.ts H.264 1080i50 just need deinterlace + streamcopy (.ts container to .mp4), yadif=0 should do it I think

That is for playback on chormecast)

 

All my logs attached here is done with Emby android app casting to chormecast (gen1.)

 

Live TV testing is done using a channel sending 1080i H.264.

Rec. TV testing is done using a recording from a channel sending 720p.

 

The log files is in seperat folders, and each folder got a readme file.

The readme file tells my experince with each testing.

Sadly I now get no live stream playing using the probe option, non probe works same as before.

Hopefully the fix was also intended for me because that makes a dramatic difference. Recorded tv starts within 4 seconds now. Live tv starts in 16 seconds, again by rough observation the ffprobe takes half of that time.

 

You do have to make sure you watch the server address because it keeps getting reset to localhost

 

Will try on android next to see if I get direct streaming! Cheers

Yes yes yes!

1080i works on chromecast with just a few % cpu usage like about 4% between ffmpeg and Emby in total.

Video quality was fine and some where it gets deinterlaced.

 

If i look in the transcode log it says: IsInterlaced":false, but I know (and double checked) that video is interlaced for sure!

Hi,

 

A new update is available.

You have a new option in settings page to force interlaced video.

Please try to see if it works better.

Hello,

 

Remove the recording path from emby TV settings session.

Have you the last version of DVBLinik plugin ?

If yes just do a refresh guide data.

hi t.andre, ive had a bit more time to play around and i can see the following:

 

playback in the webclient is almost perfect. live tv and recorded tv both start in good time, it starts with the correct audio track and you can switch between them on the fly. same with both subtitle tracks. seek and pause work as expected. the only problem i have is that the streams of live tv or recorded tv from one channel, bbc1hd, either don't start or end within a second or two.

 

on the android tv app although the video starts quickly and is direct streaming i am getting the NAR audio track not ENG. And although i can see both tracks available in the menu, neither is shown as enabled and selecting one doesnt change anything. similarly subtitle tracks are shown but you get a message saying something like the video is not playable if you select one. seeking brings you back to the start of the recording. and although bbc1hd plays its quite jerky

 

in the new emby theater all video starts quickly and direct streams and i get the ENG audio track, i am able to change to NAR but then you can't change back. subtitles don't work at all, seeking and pausing do, no issues with bbc1hd

 

i'd prefer to get the android app working if possible but i don't know if we may need ebr's help here as i don't think you have android do you?

HI,

 

i had to reinstall the whole DVBlink Software because of some error massages (maybe i destroy something if i played around with the setting it is was new installed)

now my SAT2IP Setup works fine.

 

but i have one Future Request :-)

 

a small (or a wiki site) info about the plug-in options (probe stream, timeshift and DVB-Link transcoder) would be great...

also its fine to leave intel qsv on now because it has been disabled for live tv

Playback on android mobile app with probe live tv on

:(

I get playback error after a long time loading.

If I turn off live tv probe - then it works fine (and transcodes).

 

Log with probe on is attached.

 

(Live tv with probe on stills works great with Chromecast).

I published a new update.

 

Spaceboy I have an android tablet but the live tv is working, but I did find a channel with NAR audio to test.
