About to make the switch from a platter drive to a SSD

it will be the same OS and my content is on a seprate NAS all together.

What things or steps should I consider to make this swap seamless?

the only change is the SSD

suggestions?

If you're using some kind of drive copy software then you wouldn't need to take any other steps.  Did this myself awhile back.

Good day,

Yes as FrostByte said, disk copy (image) software like Paragon, Acronis .. etc, can clone/copy, they are free software can do that, as example: easeus.

I've always been a fan of Nuke and Pave when it comes to installing a new OS

I was meaning more about the MBS and MBT integrity

I've cloned a OS drive, which thankfully went well.

A couple of things to consider, a clone may well copy the disk's SID (Security ID), if it does, remember to remove the old disk or you may get an error and the OS will not boot the first time you try to use the cloned drive.

Secondly, you can clone the OS to a larger disk (HDD/SDD), just remember to extend the partition on the new disk, from within the OS, to take advantage on any potential extra space.
