Mediabrowser Client on Amazon Fire TV

hi,

 

ive installed the mediabrowser_client.apk via sideload

on my FireTV. It works, but i cant switch between the users/profiles.

 

i use 2 profiles: kids and parents, parents with password

 

on the first start, i use the parent profile, and now the clients

start every time this profile, without password query

ive the same problem on my smartphone, this app saves the last login. thats very bad, if

i forget to logout the user "parents". the next user, eg my kids can look without problems

in my adult-movie-section.

Yeah, remember last user isn't a good feature for any shared device (it is fine for a phone or tablet that will usually just have one user).  That's where something like this will have to behave differently based on the type of device it is on.

Hi all. To create the.apk do you need to have the device rooted? I have it on 2 nexus5 and 1 nexus9. I would like to try to sideload onto firetv. Thanks for any tips

try ES File Explorer

Open it

Libary

search mediabrower

press and hold

save

now you have a apk file

I have it sideloaded on FireTV, and no you don't have to root.

Yep,it's always been possible to side load.

 

I like the fact that you can side load over the network instead of having to plug it into a PC.
