crashkelly 62 Posted October 31, 2013 Posted October 31, 2013 What would be great is if you all could post basic specs about the systems your running as well so. I know I am going to be in the market soon for a dedicated machine for MB3 and seeing those specs would be great. Thanks

The KB would benefit from some anecdotal setup info. ie, system specs, type of content, and how many simultaneous streams to which clients. Bonus points for those who can specify stream type (direct, copy, transcoded). We can't give people every config that will work, but it would be nice to give examples of configs that do work. 1
chef 3810 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Hello, I was wondering If people would mind taking a moment to post how clients are appearing in the server dashboard. For example, my Iphone, MBClassic and the Dashboard in Chrome appears like this: I am interested in how more unique devices appear. For instance: Ipads Windows Phones Android Phones and their Application Versions. Thank you to whom ever has the chance to help. Chef, Edited November 4, 2013 by chef

Thank you. This was very helpful. When you log on to the dashboard client through your Android Devices how does the Application show up?
gthrift 64 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 (edited) Do you mean logging into the dashboard from the browser? This is from my HTC One S Edited November 4, 2013 by gthrift

CBers 7450 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Poor Holly... lost among all those masters. LOL I can add my Nexus 5 to the list now
chef 3810 Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 This is great. This has been a big help. I just want to see how many perpetual devices listed themselves in the browser information. It seems as though they all do. This will help my app better pin point devices to remote control. Beside the device ID. In fact I was just controlling my IPhone from the kinect just now.

My MB3 server PC is an old Dell XPS 420 Quad-Core 2.4Ghz with 8Gb RAM and 8Tb of pooled drives utilising Drive Bender. It can easily serve up 3 or 4 HD streams, to MBC, Android and/or ROKU/Now TV.
